Cable connectors for gateways and nodes

This guide will help to understand how to extend cables for antennas which are used in LoRaWAN gateways and nodes.

LMR400 is strongly recommended for extension cables:

Buy LMR400 cables
LMR400 has low signal loss and strong for outdoor environment. 50Ohm cables are recommended for LoRa/LoRaWAN.
Do not use RG-8 or RG-174 due to high signal attenuation.
Do not use adapters to switch from 1 connector type to another connector type.
LMR400, RG-8, RG-213 and RG-214 have the same cable diameter and share similar connector types.
